Here, we offer access to our scientific databases on Pyrenean aquatic ecosystems. These databases have been compiled over the past 40 years as a result of our ongoing research.
On this portal, you will find tools to explore, visualize, and download data from these databases. This includes a sampling stations inventory, available measurements, time trends, images, maps, and more.
While a portion of the data is freely accessible, some is currently under embargo. The embargoed data will be released as soon as the embargo period ends. In the meantime, these data may be available upon request on a collaborative basis. Please see our data use policy below for more details.
Visualize and download data from our three AWS in the Central Pyrenees.
Chemistry of atmospheric precipitation in several high mountain stations along the Catalan Pyrenees.
Water temperature, level and stream flow from our monitored lakes and streams.
Lakes and streams biogeochemistry: major solutes, nutrients, dissolved gases and seston chemistry.
Major elements composition and organic content from surficial sediments and sediment cores.
Dissolved solids and gases, temperature and piezometric level from wells in the Contraix valley.
Trace elements concentration in atmospheric precipitation, surface waters, sediments and soil in the Pyrenees.

1. Use our data freely. All data released to the public here may be freely copied, distributed, edited, remixed, and built upon under the condition that you provide acknowledgement as described below. Data under embargo can be requested to loop@ceab.csic.es. and may be provided upon agreement of specific use conditions.
2. Give proper acknowledgement. Publications, models and data products that make use of these data sets must include proper acknowledgement, including citing data sets in a similar way to citing a journal article (see https://support.datacite.org/docs/data-citation). The following acknowledgment should accompany any publication or citation of these data: Data were provided by the Limnological Observatory of the Pyrenees - LOOP, a member of the Long Term Ecological Research node LTER-Aigüestortes.
3. Let us know how you will use the data. The LOOP and LTER-Aigüestortes would appreciate hearing of any plans to use the data set. Consider consultation or collaboration with data set creators.
4. Although efforts have been made to ensure that these data are of the highest quality, the possibility of errors exists. Plase notify the data manager of any errors at loop@ceab.csic.es..
